Ramadan can also b called the month of Repentence. The more one does Taubah the greater the chance of being forgiven.

It (Ramadhan) is the month, whose beginning is mercy, its middle, forgiveness and its end, emancipation from the fire. (of hell) — Bihar al-Anwar, Vol.: 93, Pg.: 342

Sura Qadr, chapter decree

Quran #97
http://www.quranwow.com/#/ch/97/t1/ar-allah/t2/en-itania/a1/alafasy-64/a2/itania-64/v/0

Verily, We have sent it down in the Night of Al-Qadr) (97:1). This was in the month of Ramadan, as Allah tells us: (The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur’an) (2:185).

Brief explanation of the importance of the night of al Qadr
(Therein (that night) is decreed every matter, Hakim.) means, on Laylatul-Qadr, the decrees are transferred from Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz (Allah, before creation, ordered pen to write everything for the future n it did. These r all stored n sealed by Allah in a safety locker known as lawh al mahfuz n no one besides Allah can access them) to the (angelic) scribes who write down the decrees of the (coming) year including life span, provision, and what will happen until the end of the year. This was narrated from Ibn `Umar, Mujahid, Abu Malik, Ad-Dahhak and others among the Salaf.

(Hakim) means decided or confirmed, which cannot be changed or altered. Allah says:

(As a command from Us.) meaning, everything that happens and is decreed by Allah and the revelation that He sends down — it all happens by His command, by His leave and with His knowledge.

A story early in the day that warms yor heart n makes u look forward to a inshallah beautiful day. Giving encouragements to me despite the evils I had to put up with 24x7x365, that there r still some human left out there n not only that those who r wise n courageous to push forward the truth. Althou few years late, still my heartiest congratulations to Rania for converting into a muslimah. Strive ahead to b inshallah a muminah n muttaquina, if u r not already one, bcoz sky n 7 of them is the limit where allahs satisfaction can continue to increase with yor strength of iman n amol (good deeds) to b the ultimate winner of attaining his sacred n ultimate beauty – Didar.
Althou all well n good but if I may hilite a very important point in Islam. Let’s look at wot the wise muslimahs said, must b from the virtues they hav acquired from experience n believe combined:

image

I not only agree to this but also pray to Allah for the wise beautiful muslimahs who also use nikabs in good thots towards their brothers in Islam n more so protecting themselves from the evil eyes of many men out n about. Those who don’t veil or use nikab did u ever think or ask yorself these two questions:
O y I m not covering my attractive beautiful face whether with or w/o cosmetics?

O wot goes thru a mans mind n physique when intentionally or inadvertently he sees a beautiful face of a woman?
If u havnt thot then u shud do a reality check to find out yor compliance of Islam in its spirit n not try to find a consolation between its jayej (allowed) n halal/ fard (must comply). With nikab being not fard n knowing we r living in an era of complete filth n bad women exposing themselves as commodities wherever we look at like cell fons, tv, internet, prints on the consumer goods, newspapers, magazines, billboards, public transports, public toilets – just tell me where not, a Muslimah shud b more concerned. Wot r they trying with this “overkill” of sexuality? To make yor husband, father, brother ie., the entire males of the society to gradually loose their restraints n either become promiscuous, head for the brothels or to rape women n worst of all b demeaning to women. Y did prophet adom as n his wife Babi Hawa as were expelled from the heaven? Bcoz they fell into the trap of shytwans rule #1. Make them abru less.
Now let’s answer the two questions:
O u know u r beautiful n u want that recognition while u hav adequately (hopefully loose hijabs not the fashionable curiosity creating body tight kinds or western somewot loose outfits with just a head scarve, both of which forfeits the islams spirit n creates perverts) covered yor physique. Y will a man already taunted n teased with all these allurements all over the places he goes for making a living (there too body exposing women working) won’t like to hav yor company after seeing yor beautiful exposed face thinking he cud b the one u r looking for n showing yor beauty to?
O part of the answer came in the previous questions answer. Then when he has been made a pervert n romantasizing about yor beauty, r u not aware that different men hav different temperament, manners, social backgrounds n outlook towards women. U think eve teasing n women’s rite laws plays in a fondlers or rapists or worst yet smooth playboys smart moves minds when he targets u?
So can we conclude that at this century being even outstanding muslimahs immensely contributing to prove the beauty of Islam, u yourselves r being fooled by the shytwan to raise questions n make yorself n yor religion look bad, if I may say so.
It all lies in a hard REALITY CHECK n that’s were the “think” repeatedly said in the Quran by Allah makes the difference n the test he is putting us thru, to determine only how much to reward us based on our individual knowledge, willing to understand n determination of compliance.
Thanks n congratulations again to both of u for sharing yor beautiful stories n thots with us.

“FOLLOW Her ➡️ @raisyyahrania.official Felixia Yeap is a former #model who posed for magazines like #Playboy and #FHM . She also used to appear on car shows and #beauty pagans. On July 2014, she officially announced her conversion to #Islam . But how did a girl at the top of her modelling career decide to leave her extravagant lifestyle and embrace Islam?
Felixia Yeap was born in #Malaysia in 1986. Her early experiences with religion did not provide any meaning to her: “I used to attend #Catholic #Church every Sunday evening… I’ve tried to understand #Christianity . I also tried to adopt #Buddhist practices. I’ve tried to find new meaning in worshipping Kuan Yin and others. But my heart never felt close to #God . My heart never felt touched.” She started modelling in 2005 and appeared on the 3rd season of the TV program “I Wanna Be a Model”. In 2009 she was crowned Velocity Angels’ Model of The Year. However after reaching fame and success in modelling, she says that she felt “hollow and exploited. I crumbled time after time. I picked myself up just to crumble all over again… I had never asked for fame, dramas, marrying some rich guy and brag about wealth and all. I was really just passionate about posing in front of camera and strutting down the runway.” Then in 2013, she received an offer to take photo shoots while wearing the Islamic hijab. She says that dressing modestly gave her unprecedented feelings of protection, happiness and safety. She felt liberated by the #hijab . “I realized that I was looking forward to cover up (my body) more”. The hijab got her thinking of her worth as a woman “I believe that I am worthy of more than just showing off my body. I am more than this. And I don’t feel proud if any of those fame seeking model wannabes out there look at me as idol or role model. I don’t want you to be blaming me when your career is pretty much done and you feel empty, used, lost and hollow after all those exposures and exploitations.” “I started to look for something deeper: a religion, a God, a better way of living life. I wanted to cover myself up more, be respected and be known for who I am inside not for how much flesh I am showing outside. If a religion could show me the beauty of life and living, why not try to understand it? Why detest it just because a few confused racists and extremists try to twist things around?” On the day she became a #Muslim she said “Today is a historic day for me. It’s like a rebirth.. I hope everyone will pray that I will be steadfast and committed in my new journey.”

This is Mashallah pure brilliance that only comes from a very caring & deeply thotful sacred mind. It’s moving, it’s a jolting  reminder & shud not b ignored.  Alhamdulilah for all that the muslimah said & for giving me the opportunity to find it from the deep garbage of the cyber world & b able to reshare it.

Many thanks for writing, sharing & allowing resharing. Jazaki Allah khairan.

“Be thankful for what you have & say الحمد لله”

Why is it that we are never happy with what we have? Why are we never content? Why are we always complaining? Why do we want more & more? Why is it so hard to appreciate what we have? Why is it that we always seem to be chasing the next big thing. Constantly lusting after the newest and latest object.

Have we ever taken a moment & counted the blessings Allah ﷻ has bestowed upon us? Have we ever just thought how lucky we actually are? Have we ever thought about our Sisters & Brothers around the world who don’t have what we have? Yet you see them smiling. You see them getting on with what they have.

These beautiful souls have no shelter above them, they’re sleeping on floors filled with stones & dirt. They have no clean water & have to go miles and miles searching for it. They have to starve themselves, some dyeing due to malnutrition & starvation. Is this anywhere neat to the life we’re living?

Think about those innocent children that are being killed for no reason at all! Think of those kids who go to school, not knowing when they return home their dad/mum won’t be there anymore! Think of those Mothers who see their child being taken in front of them! Think of that Father who earns so hard for his family whilst being tortured and hurt!

Our lives are luxurious and nothing compared to those around the world, yet we are never satisfied.

We have a peaceful & beautiful shelter. We have clean water running in our homes 24/7. We have hot fresh food prepared for us everyday. We have our parents & families in front of us. We have our close ones by us. So, what are we complaining about?

We can easily wake up tomorrow with these blessings taken from us. Instead of complaining & always lusting & yearning for more, be greatful & thankful to Allah ﷻ for everything. We are truly blessed & lucky.

Never forget to say الحمد لله

Stay Strong & Don’t Lose Hope!  INSHALLAH!

Iftar at masjid e nab’abi, following the sunnah of prophet mohammad saw (every1 is sharing with the next person mashallah, n not considering whether he is sitting next 2 a ruler or a begger).

Ramadan is the month 2 repent bcoz this is the month when allah closes the doors of hell n opens the đoors of heavens. This is the month Qur’ans revelations started. In ìts honor allah has declared this month as a month of rewards for the pious, tawakfuĺl n the honest repenters. Every ibadaah during this month is rewarded heavily, specially the prayers during the nite of qua’der the day quran was sent is said by allah 2 carry the weight of 1000 days or more than 80 yrs equivalent of ibadaah.

The month of ramadan has arrived. An extemely significant month for muslims thruout the world.  For anybody 2 get this month for another year is indeed a very  fortunate event, alhamdulillah

This is the month allah started revealing the Qur’an for the human beings thru hazrat gibril (aws) (gabreal) 2 prophet mohammad (peace b upon him).  it started when he was 40 yrs old n continued for 25  yrs (up2 the yr prophet died at the age of 65).  So prophet mohammad was ordained as a prophet n messenger of allah at the age of 40.
Quran has 114 suras or chapters.  The suras r mostly linked with various incidents, occasions, decisions etc. of the prophets life in the 2 cts mekkah n medina (s arabia) he used 2 live.  There r lots of important true stories throughout the history of mankind also in it 2 give guidance n warniing, as appropriate.  So, in all sorts n sizes of matters –  trivial 2 fundamental or small 2 big, including personal, family, social, financial, governmental, various sciences (some mentioned more than 1400 yrs bak  in this book but bing proved only recently  by the scientists, also known as the miracles of quran) manners, humanitarian aspects, law n justice, family/ relatives/ friend issues, gender issues, rites of n  with the neighbours etc., basically wotever u name it that is required for a human bings lawful n decent living  with adequate  rites can b found in quran.   Bsides, since the time of prophet, for critical matters those having no direct  mention in either quran or hadids, hav been resolved by a panel of experts. During the golden times of Islamic rules the people who were experts 2 consider such matters were the rulers, justices, law experts (sharia/ fiqah, common laws), quran specially kalam rules experts n theamatics (tafsir scholars), hadises experts, relevant subject matter specialist n whoever else deemed necessary by this board  or the  chairman of this board (mandatorily the head of the state). They r responsible 2 get 2gether 2 discuss the matter.  First they look for solutions inside quran n hadises close 2 matters like this.  If not found,  certain incidents or decisions taken in other matters, or hadises, ayats themaetics extrapolated if deemed suitable then reviewed fm all arguable points of view, then  phylosophically judged (if needed argued, debated again) for all involved 2 absolutely indipendently n cumulativly agree on all points as in the case of quran n hadis they wud do.  Bcoz these r nothing but lawful n necessary extensions of sharia under permission of allah.  So ultimate fear of allah must b in mind for all decisions made. Allah has entrusted this board 2 kias ( discuss the matter) n most piously, honestly with patience n wisdom wants them 2 implement expeditiously the izma (an all agreed decision) 2 carry forward the bizness of islam.

Sometimes i wonder n worry how will the heads of states of OIC (probably 57 member states) will face allahs judgement when kias n izma by the virtue of the fact is faraj n none of these countries r following the process.  The  very people neglecting their duties r the 1s blaming islam not bing up2date, progressive!

My objective in writing this blog is primarily 2 fold.  When i talk 2 the young generation i find the sorry state of islamiat teaching in our skools.  It was bad during our times.  But nothing compared 2 wot it is now.  Having an elaborate syllabus is not necessarily teaching with depth n proper emphasis.  N the notorious cable, movies, inets dont  help the nations good cozes at all.  So inshallah i wud like 2 hope the youth wil come out of the dark n take more interest in islam n the relevant subjects that teaches this most beautiful, powerful, decent n most intellectually challenging n stimulating subject.

Now bak tracking a little bit.
All these ayahs or verses of quran came as either halal (allowed), haram (banned) n results of yor deeds ie., jannat (heaven) or jahannam (hell), with vivid descriptions of the 2 places.  2 further caution, the book also gives a few examples of allahs ultimate anger on some extreme transgressor nations for acts like  violating others rites,  for bing too arrogant,  allways cheating fellow humans, sodomy, performing sorcery, challenging allah’s power n authority etc. for which acts the entire nation(s) were destroyed n some remain as examples so that we take lessons fm these – never 2 follow them.  Soon after receiving n conveying the last ayah hazrat (arabic vocative for prophets, prophets wives n angels) mohammad bcame sick.  N a few days later the best of the best among human beings left us (inna lilla hi wainna ilahi rajiun, we r all for allah n 2 him shall we all return).

This in short is the hilites of allah’s  noor (heavenly lite) n human bings ultimate source of knowledge n most important guidance ie., Qur’an. In honor of that n his foremost will 2 pardon humans those who truly repents n goes bak 2 allah, he not only declared undisclosed amounts of heavy rewards straight fm himself (in usual cases it is delegated 2 malaikas (angels) for recording all deeds n corresponding rewards – 10 marks added for good deeds n 1mark for bad deeds (quran 6: 160) that is for.a normal persons normal days usual activities) for all who hav fasted the entire month.   Now, imagine wot cud any1 who had tried n did his best 2 earnestly purify himself thru fasting the whole month n promises 2 stay alike for the rest of the 11 months, expect as reward for ramadan fm allah who is “innaka Antal Wah-haab” or “for thou art the grantor of bounties without measure” ( quran 03:08).

2 make the month of ramadan very rewarding, allah has also made it a month of fasting or roja (bangla) or siam, arabic. On top of this Allah has made ramadan a month of huge bonuses for each kind of religious n charity acts.  wot it means is that if eg., namaj aka salah (like roja another 1 of the 5 essential pillars of islam)  which is mandatory 5 times  a day (sounds a lot but practically thinking all 5 of it added up demands all 2gether roughly 1 hour  out of 24 hours of a day) will b rewarded many times more during ramadan than the namajes performed during the rest of the 11 months.  N it dosent stop there.  the extra discretionary prayers known as nafals (1  can pray as much as he likes during the rest almost 23 hrs left  over aft finishing the 5 mandatories) will also b rewarded many times more during the ramadan.  During ramadan people prefer 2 pay their jakah (another pillar of islam) too.  bcoz like siam n namaj charity donations r also calculated n rewarded many times more in the month of. Ramadan.  If an individual holds certain amounts of gold or silver or corps ( here it is called ushar), and .his net liquid assets  worth is in excess of that certain amount of golds or certain amount  of silvers or certain amount of corps then on these excesses over the fixed amount mentioned above will b calculated @ 2.5% on the excess for jakat   N for ushar net liquid assets after deducting a certain amount of crops. In addition if 1 cud afford there is zakah e fitr n sadakah (alms).

Now a basic question how a siam is performed?  Usually an hour before the dawn u take a meal (must wake up n eat something).  Its called sahoor. Then till sunset u  can perform all yor regular chores n duties  but cannot eat, smoke, drink, hav sex with yor wife   after iftar which Is breaking fast at dusk, then up2 next seheri all halal that bcomes haram between sahoor 2 iftar bcomes halal between iftar 2 sahoor.

Siam has been made  compulsory for muslims 2 b compassionate towards the poor.  Unfortunately now a days u c more richer n varieties of food bing consumed in ramadan then the rest of the year.  More or less it feels as if a. month for food festivals.  This is indeed sad 2 c the ummats of hazrat mohammad gossipping loudly while eating iftars for an hour or so with table filled items even forgetting about another faraj, maghrib namaj, even though we all know  the prophets sunnah of having all meals quietly n mashallah preferred mostly dates n water for iftars.

Given the heat wave pls make sure u drink sufficient water otherwise next days roja might bcome difficult or even impossible. may allah save us fm such unfortunate situation.  Another imp rule might come 2  rescue.  When fasting if u accidentally eat or drink something n then realize u were fasting then do the following n inshallah yor fasting will b saved:
– as soon as u remember u r  fasting, stop eating
–  if there is food in yor mouth throw it away
–  quickly wash inside yor mouth with water
–  ask forgiveness 2 allah for this unwanted mistake n also for his help against shytwan which makes u forget
–   continue on fasting n break the fast with iftar, as usual.  No kaja (replacement) roja or kaffara (fine for mistakes, usually feeding the poor) necessary.

Now last but not the least.  America with its aggression under the disguise of arab n non arab spring has successfully created a zone of influence fm all the way in the west morocco 2 all the way in the east upto bangladesh except iran n india.  Lots of geo political calculations n natural resources 2 b exploited.  Syria falls under strategic geo-political calculation.  Under the blaff of tunisia, libya n egypt ( all of them bak 2 allmost square1) syrians bcame hopeful n started their revolution against west’s bloved tyrant bashar al asad, thinking it can b done in a short period of time.  But by now west was not happy 2 loose 3 of its long tested agents some wud argue about quaddafi, but as circumstances later proved the doubt he was indeed their agent.  Same like quaddafi, bashar, after lots of hypocracy, also proven an western agent too.  So the west this time didnt respond 2 the popular movement (even though they hav huge bases n armouries in s.arabia) but was in a revenge mood.  N wot a revenge they r taking yr aft yr.  Also making sure that the most oil reach kingdoms in the region like quatar, kuwait, s. arabia etc. countries undemocratic, authoratarian n arrogant rulers sheikhs dont get affected by all these turmoils.  For protection sheikhs pay them heavily n willing n unwillingly allow them 2 open army,  navy n air force bases. While it is a significant 1st step 2wards making arrangements 2 rule the countries or a significant country in the region in future, if needed. Also it cud b their contingency location in case relationship gets sour with europe.
The prolonged war is turning syria like afghanistan. Now a days the situation in there is hardly shown in the tv news.  Wotever rarely comes shows the devastation of a civilization.  Wot can happen when a big eagles evil eyes falls on a camel!

The syrian part I haven’t changed a single word from last year. Wot I wud like 2 add is it is quickly becoming like filistin. Despite the devastation n occupation they hav arranged friends 2 hide their names. Just like filistin where British had fooled us with Belfore treaty n America by financing creating a military Base named Israel for the jews/ zionists 2 operate it. Now no1 seems 2 know that or even mention that even y the Americans pay unquestioned billions of dollars (basically as payment for Base maintenance). Similarly there will b a few unethical countries who will allways b willing 2 help Britain n America 2 cover their ugly evil deeds in syria. So let us not forget that which countries r systematically trying 2 crusade islam out of existence.

I mourn for all dead in syria n asking allah 2 end their sufferings. Let’s inshallah keep praying everyday in ramadan for the syrian rebels n a total humiliating defeat for bashar with invading foreign forces leaving. May syria b a prosperous Muslim independent n sovereign country inshallah soon. We shud take this as a lesson 2 create a proper ummah not just a names sake OIC.

Ramadan being the month of Allah’s rahmah (blessings), barakah (special blessings) n najah (forgive n save from hell), let us pray for filistin, syria, chechnya, kashmir n all other Muslim countries n their islam followers 2 b blessed n forgiven. Also let us pray for a fair n peaceful world.

Durood Sharif

Question
The question was posed to ḤuĎūr Tāj ash-Sharīá Muftī Muḥammad Akhtar RiĎā al-Qādrī al-Bareylwī ḥāfidhullāh,Could you please share with us any wazīfa (litany) or any áml which can be performed for the protection of our Îmân and a means of achieving spiritual peace?

Answer

ḤuĎūr Tāj ash-Sharīá ḥāfidhullāh replied, – The recitation of Durūd (and Salawāt) is the most superior of wazāíf, recite Durūd abundantly

(Note:  every muslim during 5 daily salahs must recite durood shareef several times.  of the many varities i hav chosen the most popular 1 which is also listed as # 1 in ashiq-e-rasool.)

Durood Shareef are equivalent and give full benefits, but some selected and very promptly accepted and favoured Durood Shareefs are the following:-

1. DUROOD-E-IBRAHIMI

ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA SALLAITA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID. ALLAHUMMA BAARIK ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA BAARAKTA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID.

“O Allah, let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious”.

The famous companion of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), Hadrat Ka’ab bin Ujrah (radi Allahu anhu), narrates that once it was enquired from Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as to how blessings should be sent to him. The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) replied that the blessings be said in the manner (it has been mentioned) above, that is, Durood-e-Ibrahimi.

no, never. love is a relationship beyond friendship regardless how deep it isb, but 2 love it has 2b even deeper. soul matters when it comes 2 the deepest of the matters. hence soul is linked with true love not best frIends.

wot is soul? the scientists r yet 2 find or even come close 2 a common definition agreement. but wot does allah say about ruh (soul)? he says in the quran that he has blown “his ruh” in2 human. 1 that directly comes fm allah it has 2 b love bcoz in true sense wotever good n beautiful u c in yorself or in all yor surroundings is symbolizing allahs love 2wards u. similarly whenever we human beings think in wotever state of mind ( gratitude, fear guilt, anger, frustration etc) of allah it is 1st we love him deep inside where our soul resides. he is our 1st n foremost love. n he like everything else in return lovingly also decides who wiĺl b our soulmates. thus love gets created thru the ruh n we say soulmates amongst all the friends we hav.

Hajj/ Eid ul Adha

18/9/15

Salam.

I was thinking about wtiting something about hajj n eid ul azha we say, but correct pronouncuation is adha.  then i found this very beautiful n elaborate hajj description written by ms. sadaf farooqi.  by reading the article, i blief, it will inshallah provide any inquisitive reader a very strong knowledge base of islams essential 1 out of 5 foundations.

Kaba as we know was built by the 1st human n prophet of allah adom (alai heysalam) or adam.  later it was destroyed during prophet nuh (alai heysalam) noahs time due 2 the great flood.  finally, prophet mohammads (saw) family ancestor prophet ibrahim (alai heysalam) abraham was ordered by allah 2 rebuild the kaba on the original foundations of prophet adom.  he obeyed allahs order n rebuilt the kaba (at its present form) along with his son prophet ismail (alai heysalam) ishmil n prayed 2 allah for muslims 2 gather here n praise allah.  allah accepted his supplication.  prophet ibrahim is called the father of muslim nations bcoz he is the 1 who invented the word muslim n requested 2 allah for permission 2 call those who follow islam 2 b called muslims.  allah accepted.  then  it was ultimateĺy prophet mohammad who cleaned the kaba off the statues n mashallah established the power n ģlory of 1 n only creator allah.

the piccárd at the bottom gives the supplication of prophet ibrahim which all hajis start chanting softly as they r ready for their journey 2wards mekkah with the intention of hajj.

The famous last sermon of prophet mohammad during his last hajj.

How Hajj Promotes Peace and Unity

The best way to unite and make peace with pilgrim brethren is to tolerate anything negative that happens with patience and kindness.

To the righteous Muslim who has never gone for hajj, the aspiration to embark upon this once-in-a-lifetime journey manifests itself in their psyche as the ultimate “dream come true.”
This journey involves repenting for all their past wrongdoings, becoming closer to Allah, turning over a completely new leaf, and resolving to acquire a higher level of piety for the remainder of their life.
For those who have had the honor of performing hajj, especially after having studied their Deen in-depth, however, the journey along with all of its unique rituals takes on an entirely different identity: that of an unforgettable spiritual and emotional experience that teaches them innumerable invaluable lessons in sincerity (ikhlas), humility, submission to Allah, and forbearance.
Hajj is the only obligatory duty in Islam that involves communal worship, viz. in which all the rituals and rites have to be performed along with hundreds of thousands of other Muslims – in the same time and space, over a period of the same 5 days.

Hajj: Purpose and Significance

– How to Maintain the Peace & Unity of Hajj?
– Hajj… a Journey of Spiritual Healing
– Hajj 1436: Devotion, Unity & Peace
– Wisdom Behind Shaving Head During Hajj
– What Are the Spiritual Ethics of Hajj?
(the answer 2 the 1st answer is in:
[How to Maintain the Peace and Unity of Hajj? – Pilgrimage – Reading Islam – OnIslam.net] is good, have a look at it! http://www.onislam.net/english/reading-islam/living-islam/first-steps/pilgrimage/493057-how-to-maintain-the-peace-and-unity-of-hajj.html. for the rest of the answers tab on the questions in that page].
The performance of hajj has been restricted to a few, specific geographical sites for the entire ummah, which means that – whatever their political, ethnic, and cultural differences might be back in their homelands during the rest of the year – this smaller ‘ummah’ of pilgrims has to repeatedly come together, at the same places, at the same times, to do the same things, if they want to fulfill their obligation of performing this foundational pillar of Islam.
Because of this, the journey of hajj imparts pilgrims an unforgettable annual lesson in peace and unity that is scarcely available anywhere else throughout the rest of the year.

The State of Ihram: An Aura of Calm Self-Restraint
When a pilgrim enters the state of ihram for hajj, they do not just put on a specific set of garments that are the same as the other pilgrims: rather, they enter a state of forced self-restraint, politeness, calmness, and forbearance in dealing with all their brethren in Islam for the next few days.
this peace and self-restraint is a unique, one-of-a-kind state that is not found anywhere
By doing away with varieties in clothing, especially for male pilgrims, the state of ihram abolishes their mutual differences related to social class, prestige, and economic status. Ihram unifies all pilgrims as slaves in front of Allah who are toiling on the same noble journey.
Secondly, the fact that all kinds of arguing, wrangling, fighting, and even hunting halal game is impermissible in the state of ihram (2:197), it causes the descent of an aura of complete peace upon the massive population of pilgrims who are performing hajj.
Once again, this peace and self-restraint is a unique, one-of-a-kind state that is not found anywhere else in the Muslim ummah during the rest of the year, even during Ramadan.
Not only are they united in how they look, what they wear, and how they are worshipping their Lord during these precious few days of peace, they are also united in a communal state of peacefulness that is utterly and totally free from even a small glimpse or flicker of commotion, fighting, rallying, protests, strife, discord or dissension.
There are no arms, weaponry or ammunition in sight within the magnanimous annual populace of millions of pilgrims, and yet, despite the current political and ethnic differences that exist in the ummah, and cause chronic strife, not a single pilgrim who comes for hajj gets hurt, injured or killed during the journey – except by unintentional accident!

Together for One Cause: All Differences Set Aside
“No, we do not combine prayers even whilst traveling. We follow the fiqh of so-and-so.”
“The mufti qualified from the largest Darul Uloom (Islamic university) back in our country gave us his opinion about this matter, so we will follow only his advice.”
“We consider eating crabs and lobsters impermissible according to our fiqh.”
“We adhere strictly to the opinions of so-and-so regarding the methodology of doing da’wah to non-Muslims.”
A follower of the Hanafi fiqh prays next to one who follows the Shafi fiqh
Whether the women of their group wear flowing black chadors or light-colored denim overcoats; whether they choose to cast votes during elections in their local democracies, or campaign actively for the revival of the khilafah; whether they pray salah at their campuses and offices with their shoes on or off; whether they prostrate on soft prayer rugs or plates of dried clay; whether they promote the cause of women’s emancipation and education, or believe in keeping women restricted strictly within the walls of the home; whether they habitually eat on a table-spread laid out on the floor, or on polished wooden dining tables…
When pilgrims from different backgrounds and cultures come to perform hajj in Saudi Arabia, they use more or less the same facilities as the others in their group as well as those beyond it: makeshift toilets, packaged food, rolled-up bedding, and tented accommodations. They all have luggage with them. They all eat, sleep, and worship more or less at the same time.
And they all silently and readily agree – as if on cue from their Lord above – to set aside their political, ideological, religious, and jurisprudential differences for the entire duration of the sacred hajj sojourn.
A follower of the Hanafi fiqh prays next to one who follows the Shafi fiqh, and doesn’t raise his hands before or after the ritual bowing (rukoo’), yet the brother by his side does. And both remain mutually respectful about it. There are no arguments or confrontations.
As they converge together upon the plain of Arafat, all pilgrims pray four units of salah behind one imam, and seek forgiveness henceforth till sundown from one God, Allah.
No divisions, no differences. One purpose, one place, one nation.

The Days of Mina: Opportunity for Outreach
The short stay at Mina can test everyone’s nerves and patience
Pilgrims have to spend all their nights in their tents at Mina from their arrival there on 8th of Dhul Hijjah, till their departure on the 12th or 13th. They can benefit from availing all their free time to get to know one another during their stay in the tented city, especially once they have performed all the main rites of the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah.
This is the day of Eid Al Adha for the rest of the Muslims around the world, in which pilgrims perform several rites, such as the shaving of heads (for men), taking a ritual bath (ghusl), putting on fresh (stitched) clothes, having their animals slaughtered, and finally, performing the main circumambulation of the ka’bah i.e. the obligatory Tawaf al Ifadah.
Modern day Mina is a tented, open-air zone of comfort and peace. The uniformly structured, air-conditioned and carpeted tents are arranged in an organized manner, with carefully named and numbered zones and streets. Food vendors and toilets are available near each tent.
Once the pilgrims are done with the Tawaf al ifadah, all that remains of rituals for them to do during their remaining stay at Mina, is to perform the stoning of pillars (jamraat) on a daily basis. This task can be delegated to mahram men, by the women, children and the elderly who cannot walk to stone the jamraat each day. This means that most pilgrims have ample free time to socialize and talk to each other throughout their 4-5 day stay at Mina.
How can pilgrims capitalize on their stay in Mina in order to promote better mutual understanding, unity, peace and respect?
Well, for one thing, they should avoid snapping or blowing their fuse whenever something done by their brethren really bothers or irritates them.
Since I have performed hajj, I can give a few small examples of this, e.g. a sister loses her bag of medicines due to the negligence of her companion. A brother has trouble napping or sleeping soundly because the ‘uncle’ on the bed next to him constantly snores, and the one on the other side keeps talking loudly on his phone. A sister’s nap is disturbed when another steps heavily on her foot whilst sprinting across the tent.
The short stay at Mina can test everyone’s nerves and patience, because it is a state of bare-basics traveling peppered with the performance of time-bound hajj rituals. The ages, physical abilities, personalities, habits, and varying backgrounds of the pilgrims in each tent transform the otherwise desolate city of Mina into a wonderful melting pot of diversity.
The best way to unite and make peace with pilgrim brethren is to tolerate anything negative that happens with patience and kindness and to seek out every opportunity to help relieve the problems and distress of those pilgrims who need help.
The days at Mina can also be spent in giving short Islamic talks and explaining portions of the Quran to one’s companions in the tent.
Even when language is a barrier, a smile, helping hand, and polite manners go a long way in bridging the gaps.

I would like 2 add a little more. there is a hadid of prophet mohammad (saw) where he had suggested 2 his ummats that they shud come 2 medina since they have already come so far in order 2 convey salam 2 him. its just basic common sense as well isnt it? if u go 2 medina in lov n respect of yor prophet, he as well his best friend allah will b very pleased no doubt.  although its not part of the hajj but most hajis do go n say salam 2 him either before or after hajj rituals starts or ends. he deserves this respect bcoz it is for his habib prophet mohammad allah has given us salat, it is prophet mohammad who had tot us the rituals of hajj n for his tireless supplications, bsides so much sins n wrong doings we still get a break fm allah in case our taubahs r pure. also allah said in the quran that on rhe day when no 1 can talk on others bhalf it will only b prophet mohammad that will n allowed 2 shafayet (plead) for his ummat on the day of final judgement. so salam n darud on u now n inshallah then my dear mentor, guardian, allahs mercy for the entire human race n an idol of knowledge, best character n a perfect all around human, prophet mohammad.

thank you
“O People! lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore,
listen carefully to what I am saying and Take These Words to Those Who Could Not Be Present Here Today.“O People! just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that he will indeed reckon your deeds.

“Allah has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligations shall henceforth be waived. Your capital is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib (Prophet’s uncle) be waived.

“Every right arising out of homicide in pre-Islamic days is henceforth waived and the first such right that I waive is that arising from the murder of Rabiah ibn al-Harithiah.

“O Men! the unbelievers indulge in tampering with the calender in order to make permissible that which Allah forbade, and to prohibit which Allah has made permissible. With Allah the months are twelve in number. Four of them are holy, three of these are successive and one occurs singly between the months of Jumada and Shaban.

“Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope of that he will be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

“O People! it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with anyone of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

“O People! listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers, fast during month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat (obligatory charity). Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly.

“Do not therefore do injustice to yourselves. Remember one day you will meet Allah and answer your deeds. So beware, do not astray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

“O People! No Prophet or Apostle Will Come after Me and No New Faith Will Be Born. Reason well, therefore, O People! and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me

two things, the QUR’AN and my SUNNAH (i.e., sayings, deeds, and approvals) and if you follow these you will never go astray.“All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly.
“Be my witness O Allah, that I have conveyed your message to your people.”

The last sermon of the Prophet-peace be upon him- is known as Khutbatul Wada’. It is mentioned in almost all books of Hadith. Following Ahadith in Sahih Al-Bukhari refer to the sermon and quote part of it. (See Al-Bukhari, Hadith 1623, 1626, 6361) Sahih of Imam Muslim also refers to this sermon in Hadith number 98. Imam al-Tirmidhi has mentioned this sermon in Hadith nos. 1628, 2046, 2085. Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal has given us the longest and perhaps the most complete version of this sermon in his Masnud, Hadith no. 19774

Salam.

Like him mashallah i also found in my life that namaj (salat) brings incalculable benefits.  Some u can feel mashallah as u go.along living yor life, some u will c come later in yor life as direct or indirect benefits ie., blessings that no other act can bring so much peace or fulfillment thru barkat.  All u hav 2 do is atay committed 2 namaj with best niyat. As in skools the most hard working, devoted n eagar 2 learn students bcomes the best n likable students, here too the 1s with above committments n the most devotions will b the 1s highly rewarded inshallah.

It is so easy but yet shytwan tries n makes it look so difficult with the illusuon of stinken duniya.  As in the quran says there is no force about religion so choice is totally up2 u whether u want 2b a winner or not only a looser but a big time looser like they say 2 explain an educated fool.  May allah train us 2 perform namaj in the best of manners n highest devotion.

Prophet Muhammad’s (saw) Ummah

Revised n updated

Salam.

May Allah create the strongest brotherhood among all Muslim nations as hazrat mohammad (saw) envisioned. May Allah also inspire all muslim countrys 2 adopt mandatorily 2 learn arabic besides their mothertongues. Now we telawat quran but don’t understand its meaning, but understanding the quran n sunnah is the most important thing for a muslim. Inshallah when every muslim in the world can speak, write n communicate in arabic the Islamic commonwealth n ummah will then b not a dream but reality.

All OIC head of states, with the rahmat n hedayat of Allah, if agrees 2 a comprehensive plan inshallah within the next 3 months 2 roll out arabic language training program in their skools fm primary sections, I strongly blief that will inshallah b a grand success. 2 make this very important project imshallah a quick n effective success some good planning needs 2 b drawn up also with strong commitments. Among other things wot wud b required is allocating n sharing resources eg., some providing arabic teachers, some covering living cost adjustments of these teachers, some providing extra scholarships 2 more students of other islamic countries for medical science, engineering or other university degrees for subjects that country requires.

Thru good planning n execution inshallah within next 5 yrs the entire ummah will hav a common language which will greatly enhance trade n commerce as well as investments within the ummah.

Not 2 mention thru own understanding of the Quran n sunnah n implementiñg that in their daily lives, all Muslim countries in their own merit will inshallah bcome each a hub of purity n peace among all the nations in this world.

We have been fooled n cheated for too long. No more wasteing of time otherwise we will even loose mekkah n Medina 2 the kafirs. If we can start it off inshallah there will b a lot of barakah fm allah as well as reward for good deeds. Jazak Allah khair ( may allah reward u).

Allah Wants to Forgive You

image

Simplified,  please read the confessions of a sinner n gafel whom Allah has kept alive n given opportunity mashallah 2 understand his misstakes n perform taubah.  Alhamdulillah.
I feel mashallah fortunate knowing lots of people of all ages r dying everyday n probably missed the taubahs opportunity which was either not thot of or kept aside for later.

I wud inshallah never trade for my old life even for the entire duniya or more.  After u hav mashallah committed 2 yor taubah, the satisfaction n peace u feel with your surroundings n within your mind it’s purely priceless n selfish in the sense no matter how much u try 2 explain, others wud never feel it n even if I wanted 2, it can never b shared.

Salam.

An excellent article mashallah by Maryam.  Every1 shud read it 2 understand the taubah (repetence) mechanisms of Islam. Specially the teenage n young Muslims who have not yet adopted the Islamic code of life.  Otherwise u will find that shaytwan has preoccupied yor life for the duniya with success n greed in such a way that, u haven’t been able 2 keep track of your pure n soft mind has become so hard n black that u allmost can’t bring Allah’s love or warning either, which just with your common sense u appreciated when u were younger.

Thru dilly dallly shytwan has deceived u n u r about 2 loose your iman.

While reading maryams article don’t get too much carried away.  Yes, wot she says r correct, Allah forgives.  Now u need 2 do a soul search whether u r of the catagories of people maryam mentioned or u need further help (meaning yor actions knowingly or unknowingly hav so far been “disastrous”).  The best help will inshallah  b yor soul searching, the.big cracks u find in your iman/amol, take a well determined action plan, perform taubah n repeatedly ask for allahs help.

Bak 2 where we were,  after youth comes the next phase.  U hav grown up n hav matured.  Sometimes u pray sometimes u don’t.  This is as if u r playing with taubah, against which he has given severe warning in the Quran ie, u won’t b forgiven.  When u make future plans u never give priority 2 yor religious obligations.  U think that Ramadan is the best time 2 take vacation n trave whereas Allah n hazrat mohammad (saw) has advised 2 take opportunity in this month 2 pray more for forgiveness n discouraged fm unnecessary hardships that might expose the.risk of neglecting or exposing your ibadots (religious different sorts of prayer(s)) 2 risk of reducing or missing.  Here u r not concerned with the fact not only in Ramadan but during anytime of the yr unnecessary travels r haram bcoz they interfere with salat n Siam.  The punishment for intentional drop of salat, Siam or other farajs is so high even with kaja (replacement exact faraj act for the missed 1s later) that it wud seem hopeless 2 earn allahs satisfactions later.

While allah is the most merciful, he is also the strictest punisher of all.  He dosent like hypocrisy n inconsistency.  That’s y he has repeated in the Quran that no matter how hard or how much good deeds 1 performs but it will b only ALLAH’S SATISFACTION that can earn 1 jannat.  So let’s not try 2 outsmart the smartest of all n all combined (past, present n future), the most wise n all knowing allah but stay simple, always take the middle path as hazrat mohammad has advised n follow Allah n his prophets instructions inshallah 2 b a sure winner.

Allah Wants to Forgive You
by Maryam Amirebrahimi

MANY PEOPLE TALK to me about their struggles; about mistakes they’ve made, sins they’ve committed, addictions they yearn to overcome, relationships they regret. But regardless of the issue, there is one emotion that I’ve noticed threads through almost every struggle with the other: Incessant GUILT.

The guilt of these individuals is rooted in another belief: their inability to forgive themselves for what they did or are still struggling with doing. This is heightened by the fact that many of their families have conditioned them to feel guilty for possibly bringing shame and dishonor to themselves and their families, and by some Muslim communities that do not provide support for the development of individuals—and instead cast shame, judgment and isolation onto those who’ve made mistakes.

Thus, even when they’ve committed a sin years and years ago, they cannot forgive themselves and they do not feel they can find that forgiveness sometimes even from those they love, they feel that God, too, has not or will not forgive them.

But the way that we see ourselves is not necessarily the way that Allah sees us. Our inability to forgive ourselves does not mean that God has not forgiven us!

Accessing Divine Forgiveness

Do you know how easy the terms are for us to get God’s forgiveness? It’s this easy: Realizing what we’ve done is wrong. Sincerely saying sorry. In Arabic, that’s called tawba (“repentance”). It can look like this:

Oh Allah, I’ve really messed up. I am so sorry for doing X and I need Your help never to do it again. My Lord, You forgive all mistakes and sins. Forgive me!!

Let us look at some examples of from Quran and Ḥadîth:

A man once walked into the masjid of the Prophet œ in extreme distress. He shouted, coming to the Prophet œ, saying: “I have sinned, woe to me, I have sinned!” The Prophet œ had the man sit down and taught him to say: “Dear God, Your forgiveness is greater than my sins, and I have more hope in Your mercy than in my own actions, so please forgive me!” The Prophet œ told him to repeat this again and then once again, and then told him: “Stand up: Allah has forgiven your sins.” (Al-Ḥâkim)

The Prophet didn’t tell him: Feel guilty for the next 5 years over what you’ve done, then Allah will forgive you. He œ didn’t tell the man to mentally and emotionally beat himself up every day until the man felt he had adequately punished himself, and then Allah would forgive him.

The Prophet  saw a man, coming with sincerity, with remorse, seeking to fix his relationship with Allah. He œ showed him not only how easy it was to ask for forgiveness, but also how easy it to be forgiven.

How do you know Allah has forgiven you if you have sincerely asked for forgiveness? He has promised you forgiveness. He says:

O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of God: for God forgives all sins, for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [Sûrat Al-Zumar, 39:53]

“Bending Over Backwards”

To further impress upon us the point, Allah tells us in a ḥadîth related by the Prophet:

O child of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O child of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you.
O child of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins as great as the earth, and were you then to face Me ascribing no partners to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.

Doesn’t it seem obvious? Allah WANTS to forgive us! He WANTS a relationship with us! And not only to forgive us….but to turn the wrong we  have done into something good. Allah tells us:

Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.  (Sûrat Al-Nisâ’, 4:27].

In other words, this is what that looks like:

The Prophet told us of a man who will come on the Day of Judgment and will be shown his minor sins, his major ones being hidden from him. He cannot deny all the messed up things he had done and he’s worried about seeing even bigger sins he had committed than those he’s being shown. Then it is said: Replace every bad deed with a good one! And the man says, “My Lord! I did other messed up stuff that isn’t written in here!” And the Prophet laughed when he relayed this man’s reaction. (Bukhâri)

This man’s tawbah, his repentance, was so sincere and so complete that Allah replaced his bad deeds with good ones.

Merciful Math

Additionally, Allah is so merciful in the way He keeps us accountable.

When God commanded the two angels on our right and left shoulders to write our actions, God Himself ordered the angel on the left to wait for a period of time to write down what we did wrong just in case we turn back to Him soon after we made that mistake. If we make a mistake and then repent within that time, the angel does not even write down the fact that we sinned.  (Al-Ṭabarâni)

God is just waiting for us to come back to Him, even after we mess up.

But what if you actually did do something messed up? Or thought about it but didn’t do it because you realized you didn’t want to displease Him? The Prophet taught us that Allah has ordered that the good and the bad deeds be written down. Then He explained it clearly how (they are to be written): He who intends to do a good deed but he does not do it, then Allah records it for him as a full good deed, but if he carries out his intention, then Allah the Exalted, writes it down for him as from ten [units] to seven hundred fold, and even more. But if he intends to do an evil act and has not done it, then Allah writes it down with Him as a full good deed, but if he intends it and has done it, Allah writes it down as one bad deed. (Bukhâri and Muslim)

There is seriously no way you can lose when you try to connect with God.

Miss No Opportunity

And then finally, do good deeds to wipe out the bad. This does not need to be some super Muslim attempt to pray all night and fast all day, every day. It is something as simple as asking forgiveness for every believing male and female. The Prophet taught us that if we do so, God will give us a reward for every single believer we just prayed for (Al-Ṭabarâni). Do you know how many of them there are?! You have just raked in over a billion good deeds that will wipe out those bad ones, God willing.

So when we mess up, here’s a formula:

– Realize we made a mistake that we need to stop making.
– Sincerely ask God to forgive us. If we did something to hurt someone else, we need to figure that out and ask for their forgiveness as well in a strategic way.
– Do something good to make up for it.
– If we go back to that sin, start the process over. If applicable, seek professional help.

Do not underestimate the importance of support and therapy. Depending on what a person is struggling with, it can be critical to seek professional support.

You’re Worthy of Allah’s Love

Now obviously, this doesn’t mean we go out and seek doing bad things since we know God is forgiving and we can just make it up with good ones. The point is that when we make a mistake, never despair in Allah’s desire or ability to forgive us. Realize that

His mercy overcomes His wrath. (Bukhâri)

A young woman once came to me after a lecture I gave and, crying, she said, “My family always made me feel like I’m a screw-up. They even told me that my prayers wouldn’t count since I did so many messed up things anyway. I thought Allah hated me. It wasn’t until this moment that I realized that maybe Allah does love me. Maybe He actually loves me.”

Allah doesn’t expect perfection from you. He knows you are a struggling, frustrated believer who is trying despite the falls. He knows you better than you know yourself. But that doesn’t diminish His love for you or His ability to forgive you. Don’t let anyone come between your relationship with your Creator and His forgiveness of you.

Don’t let your guilt, your inability to forgive yourself–or the way other people treat you–be what makes you think God doesn’t love you or want to forgive you. Turn to Him. He wants to accept you. Allow His love to enter your life.

God wants that He turns to you in forgiveness. [Sûrat Al-Nisâ’, 4:27]
